Our Collective Pause

Updated: Mar 20, 2020

To quote Charles Dickens, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."

During a time like the current Covid-19 pandemic, it can be difficult to manage, process, and understand our emotions. We are all doing the very best we can with the resources that we have.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that this collective pause is yielding some positivity. People have more time to pause, reflect, and meditate. Creatives are using their powers for good, offering services for free. Fitness professionals are hosting online classes for charitable organizations. Essential personnel like nurses and doctors are showing up of their patients. We're all pitching in and doing out part. It's beautiful to witness.

Aside from the contributions we're seeing people make to society, this is an opportune time to look within ourselves. With less time to socialize in person, attend conferences, visit friends, and travel, we're opening up some free time in our typically packed schedules. Being alone or in smaller groups for longer periods of time can be uncomfortable. Here's an idea...try sitting with your discomfort. Show yourself compassion and create healthy habits to support your mental health. Meditate, journal, set intentions, take a nap, or go for a walk.

As a small business, we are experiencing a challenging time during the Covid-19 pandemic. We recognize that we are one of thousands of businesses that are struggling. In a period of collective suffering, we must share what we can of our resources with those that need it most.

In an effort to inspire calm within our community, we've made the decision to offer our Prezence Premium subscription for free until the end of April. All users are able to enjoy our clinically-supported pauses, meditations, journal, and intention-setting. It is our hope that this will help our community find Prezence during our societal pause.

Starting May 1, we will resume our paid mobile offering and all non-subscribers will revert back to free without being charged. Our existing subscribers are supported via a refund or equal value credit to one of our Pursing Prezence meetups.

In the meantime, here are our resources for you:

*This list will be updated with new events and information as it arises.

We send our deepest condolences to those who have lost a loved one, a big hug to those that are currently sick, and a smile of encouragement to everyone else who is leaning on themselves and their communities during this collective societal pause.

Thank you for strengthening our community. We appreciate each and every one of you. Sending virtual hugs at a safe social distance.
